MySpace is really cracking down. I believe all MySpace adder software sites have been shut down.
This is an email someone from another forum got.
Quote:
Hi Dan
MySpace has shut us down, unfortunately we cannot sell Space Station anymore.
We do have another software for sale though, a MySpace Friends Manager... we still have to create the website for it, but you can download a trial from here:
www.bottower.com/msfriendsmanager/setup.exe
Check it out!

Myspace Marketing is not over. It just means that you cannot have accounts with two thousand friends in a week's time. I still market on myspace, but I build genuine accounts.

If MySpace shut down one friend adder, why would they create a new one?

Well I hope they are shut down. Half my friends are phished (yes I know, because they're stupid), but still, it's pathetic. I'm just sick of all this spam. A lot of people may not notice, but I'm still a teenager and I'm a regular MySpace user and it's pissing me off just like it's pissing off the entire world.

You can tell when someone is a spammer or not and I occasionally delete them just because I know that they are spamming. *shrug*

What exactly is the Myspace Friends Manager? Does it count friends? I've been looking for a piece of software that does.

I'm sick of seeing my real friends accounts phished, but I'm sure this isn't the end of myspace marketing. Phishing is different from what others do to market on myspace.

the programs that have been shutdown arent used by the phishers. so it wont be stopping them.
and this is why you get a custom program made to market myspace.

This actually means nothing folks.
They're just going to go underground (in fact they've already started).
It's just like when the RIAA tried to stop downloads. They killed Napster but then downloading went to a distributed model and they were dubmfounded.
Same thing will happen here. Any decent VB coder can code a myspace automater. You can go on rentacoder and hire someone to do it today.
So stop myspace marketing? Not hardly. All this will do is weed out the amateurs.

maybe... maybe not..
compared to people downloading MP3s (in the hundred of millions) vs people that owns spacepromoter (maybe one thousand people or so?). It's a lot easier for copycats of napster to keep poping up since there's millions of people doing mp3s.
I also think people are more scared of Myspace than the RIAA lol. RIAA sues you for $X,XXX while myspace might sue you for hundred of thousands.
also, i think it's WAY easier to find the person behind the affiliate (send them an e-mail, do a whois on their domain,etc...) than tracking down someone's IP from the RIAA.
underground? if it's just a programmer and a couple of his friends that owns a software, it should be okay. but if you plan on selling it underground on the internet... is this possible? i dunno, but goodluck with Myspace tracking you down if you are trying to sell a software underground on the internet (Myspace can just find one person using that software and scare the sh*t out of them to find the author of the software).
and your right, it won't stop myspace marketing. It'll just decrease it by A LOT. and it's not myspace marketing, it's spam (be honest with yourself).
i know, i probably don't make any sense but i'm just bored and saw this topic and decided to reply lol.
P.S. I'm glad they shutted down the Myspace Creator at esolutionstech.com, that software was just down right ugly lol.

Esolutionstech hasn't shut down yet. I think its because they are out of the country so they should be ok for now. Heres the email they sent me when I asked them about it:
"Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and showing interest in our products/services. We are just updating our website and licensing system, thats why we have closed the online sales of our bots at the moment. We are and will be supporting our all bots and will be back to normal soon. All sales are still online via Email correspondence, we just got too much sales, so we plan on adding our automated purchase system and making our licensing system good enough to avoid any possible frauds..."

"MySpace Marketing" not the point

I am very upset that our bots will no longer work with MySpace. Our customers were not sleazy "myspace marketers" but were local bands and entertainers who wanted to reach like minded "friends" who would benefit from their offerings.
"MySpace marketing" was always dead in the water because of the 400 friend/day limit. It is not about SPAMMING thousands of people, it is about using software tools to drill down to the few hundred/thousand people that have already expressed interest in related offerings to market to. You want to contact as *few* people as possible instead of as many.
Our tests resulted in 45%+ successful friend adds because we only sent messages to users who were already interested in what we had to offer.
Hopefully MySpace will offer low cost do-it-yourself paid direct marketing services so people will still have the ability to promote their stuff using MySpace's valuable database. I always believed that would be the best way for them to go--allow limited marketing and monetize it. This would also crack down against the worthless SPAM because it would be too expensive to communicate with large numbers of users.

wonder if that's true, all of their bots besides myspace is up:
esolutionstech.com/Bots/AllBots.html
seems like only the myspace pages on their site is down. and sorry but, if they are getting so many sales... why do they have google ads on their site? won't that just bring down their sales by refering customers to other sites?
and according to a whois, they are located in california so they aren't out of the country

Where are they underground? Please PM me with info because as of today my Space Station is not working as it can't connect to remote server. Badder Adder has been sucky for some time. But I have several clients I market for and I am freaking hosed without a bot.
Please, I'd love to know what's working that is similar to Space Station. That was the best program out there for managing many accounts and for all the features.
Thank you for any help you can give!

BTW- I can understand why MySpace is cracking down, but the clients I market for are bands who need me to send comments to their friends lists and do things like that. Doing this manually is going to suck so bad! I don't think I can justify doing it for $10 an hour if I have to do it all by hand.
Is there anything out there that can just send friend requests and leave comments? Even that would help.
