I'm launching a clothing line, which will be released in July and I'm trying to figure out how the other small clothing labels do this on myspace (i got the biz idea thru companies that mainly use myspace). I've looked into friendblaster and if I do the math right. 400 adds a day times 60 days = 24,000 friend requests. And if half of them accept it, thats 12,000 friends. Should I start adding away before I launch or wait so they have an opportunity to purchase?

I've been reading a lot of posts and it seems like 30,000+ friends on a profile is a rare thing. Do most people on the forums use seperate accounts to post comments & msges? I'm not wanting to do that, I would like to build a solid friend list (on one account) where I can leave a comment every once in a while.

I don't want to get a spammer rep.

Anyway, is what I'm planning on doing against myspace policy? Is it a bannable offense since im not wanting to create profile after profile but still with one. Think of it like a band account, im not gonna change it.

appreciate some advice / answers

kinda off topic but still on topic.

Who are you working with to do your production, online store & fulfillment?
and do you have any bands sponsored?
What "genres" of customers are you targeting??

Do you have pics of designs, website or anything?

PM me if needed.

thanks for response.

I'm gonna work with the guy over at soudtrack printing ( myspace.com/wearesoundtrack ). I'll be using bigcartel for my store, and I'll be shipping my own orders. I'm going to start out with 4 initial designs, which my designer is working on now, so i dont have pics yet sorry.

I'm targeting punk, emo, whatever u wanna call them....in the underground music (indie rock) scene. I don't have any bands sponsored yet, because to be honest I'm not entirely sure how that works. I have an idea, but not sure on the details.

Let me know when you have some pics.

What brand of shirt are you going to be printing on?
What kind of quantities are you going to be starting off with?
Are you planning on just doing ink on a shirt or are you going to
get into custom cuts and applications?

Sorry if i'm asking too detailed questions, I'm from the merchandising
side of the music industry...so it's a topic of high interested to me.
fun to talk detials...

If you have a new account and start sending 400 friend requests per day, you'll be deleted in short order. Regardless of that though, you'll be lucky to get 10% of your friend requests accepted if you come at people without your account set up. Set up the ms account, target your friends and then start adding. Keep in mind that your TOTAL activity (friend requests, bulls, comments, messages need to be below 400/day and I'm honestly thinking it needs to be WAY below that.

I have no problems with sending out 400 friend requests per day on new accounts. Done 15 or so accounts in the last month or so and send out 400 requests right off the bat through them, haven't lost one.

how?
I'm baffled.

maybe becauase it's just 15 accounts. which could be well under the radar compared to
those who are making 1000+ per day...???

He either made them by hand and is typing in the captchas...or something else...

First of all...not half of the friend requests that you send out are going to get accepted...you can hope for 20 percent and thats a lot to hope for...I send out hundreds of thousands of friend requests per day and not many get accepted...i dont know how many exactly, but not as much as you would think.

A lot depends on how close you hit your niche, your approach to them and relevance of the service

Well that's because 15 accounts is nothing. Some people make thousands a day. Come back with your claims of not getting deleted when you've reached that amount.

That small amount sounds like you're making them by hand, is this correct?
