hey all just got a call from myspace to C&D any talks or posts about them. so no more coming from me just a heads up.

dont need the drama they bring. im sure you guys understand.

Why would myspace care enough about you to have fox legal call you with a C&D saying not to post in earnersforum? Or did I misunderstand?

Oh he's that Steve. The one who had an entry level job at MySpace and spoke about them using the term "we".

So now MySpace took teh time to call you with a C&D after you were bashing viper64 saying you doubted he got a call?

i was contacted today via AIM regarding myspace marketing and bots, and was also basically told to C&D all selling/marketing against the TOS, I asked to verify he was from myspace with an email which he did promptly..

This guy Jason has been telling a lot of people to c+d lately via aim, telephone, and email. He is the abuse manager for myspace. It may not be professional but its the only way to reach some people I guess. Best thing to do is stop if he contacts you.

Since there are MySpace spies here and they're :2guns:for us, if anyone advocates anything contrary to their TOS, you might want to consider removing any identifiable items (websites in sigs (esp those w/o whois protection), AIM, etc) from your postings and profile. No point in giving them a paper trail. You might even want to create a new user ID to clear any traces.

this is real and not a joke. How do i know cause i've met the lady that called me and gave me the warning to stop.

If you don't believe me then oh well. They have my info and was very easy for them to call.

Listen we don't really care if you claim to have got a call from Saddam Hussein from hell , stop posting your "Scare Mongering" crap in this forum , were interest in dealing with fact not fiction , we don't want to hear some vague baseless comments about some phone call you got from some girl you met.If your older then 10 you would know that there is no way a C&D would be served over the phone , its a legal document that would have to be given to you in person .Provide proof or come back when your grown up a little and think you can act like an adult.

** To the Adults in the forum , the past posts about C & D's are an attempt by pimple faced college kids to frighten you off marketing in myspace so as to lessen their competition.Ignore the children and they will go away , its their bedtime soon anyway.

A couple of other things nobody has brought up but I keep harping on when I hear this "c&d" b/s.

1 - The very phrase, "I got a call from myspace to C&D" is the biggest oxymoron since "jumbo shrimp". A cease and desist is a legal ORDER issued by a court or govt agency. There is no such thing as a cease and desist order being issued by a telephone call.

2 - Even if a cease and desist order was issued and it clearly wasn't, um....has anyone heard of the 1st Amendment?? Let's see....myspace is pissed that someone on the internet is merely TALKING about myspace...ooooooohhhh...scary stuff.
