Hi all

I haven't seen anyone seen discussing this so I am posting this.

Im talking about hiring a professional designer and getting a quality template built for a famous PHP Scripts, say joomla/wordpress/phpBB. The only condition is that he leaves the copyright link intact,also most people install these templates and dont know who to edit HTML .

Not only this provides a good number of link-backs ( from proper sometime popular sites ) this also gets users when a user clicks on the link looking for a place to download the design etc.

So what do you think about advertizing this way ?

This really isn't something new, it is done heavily in Wordpress for sure, to the point where some Wordpress designs have multiple credits that are supposed to stay with the design.

I tried that with a normal template, it got several thousand downloads, but not a single link. Maybe it works better with wordpress themes...
