I don't understand...why do people still use long single page sales letters? They all read of as spam to me, especially when you read things like 'This product has been marked down $2,000 to just $57!' or 'This product will only be for sale for 30 days!'

Stuff like that is just so old I don't know why anyone does it anymore.

I agree with the entire post, but the above snippet the most. Theres no way in **** a legitmate item can be marked down that much, if thats the first line in the letter, its the last line im reading.

I agree that they're losing their effectiveness, but I do think that people are always going to want to read about what they're purchasing. Videos are a great complement to that... but I can't foresee sales letters ever going away completely.

sales pages are king...but I now see that marketers are cashing in on the new video phenominon.

i think a squeze page with video and opt-in form start to take preference very soon. will work well.

The reason for the typical format of the sales letter is....because it works!

It's simple as that. Sure some people will be turned off but you cannot please everyone anyway.
