I'm going to start promoting my site, Hip Hop & R&B News, Interviews, Music, Reviews // HipHopDefined.com - Your favorite Hip Hop community, soon and I've decided to put in about $800 at this time.

Any suggestions on how I should use this money? I would prefer to spend some here and there, and not everything on one single promo thing.

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

I would consider buying some high-PR links and maybe some paid directory submissions. Then to really get people coming hold some kind of contest.

The PPC Engines are a great way to promote your site and it doesnt have to be pricey if you target your audience and set it up correctly. If your site is monetized, you can make a lot of money off your audience. If you use those PPCs incorrectly, they will take you to the cleaners. Use them correctly and they can make you great profits.

There are many ways to promote in this budget : Directory (free and paid) listings, banner ads on popular sites, google ads or similar kinds of stuff, etc. Another way is social bookmarking promotion. I do this social bookmarking promotion. PM me for details.

Thats really a cool budget..i suggest you to buy some links and do link exchange with high pr sites..
