There are many things you can do. Google Adsense, YPN, Azoogleads, intellitxt, Kontera, The list goes on really. I would suggest searching the forums.

Well, you need to give us a little more info than that.
What is your website about? Do you sell any products? How are you planning on making money from your site? Selling tangible products, services, or just ads???

Of course you can make money. Do you have any traffic coming to your site? What type of site is it? Its hard to give you any kind of advice though without more detail except to answer your original question which is "Yes" you can earn money off your website. The "how" is a different subject wihout any knowledge of your site.
