facebook might is fast becoming a major player in the social networking area

are you using it, and getting much traffic from it??

I always tell my list that the internet changes fast and rapidly which is true, but just like the myspace phenominon, this facebook (if all legal actions are withdrawn) is gunna be huge.

It took me a while to get the hang of it but now its great and im getting lots of back links and traffic for them

so who of you out there is utilising this tremendous h34r: ninja social networking tool???

Facebook will be huge, no doubt. But, are there any bots out there that will automate profile creation, add friends, comment etc like the few that are still around for Myspace?

How do you get back links and traffic?

You can create a profile and multiple groups. I can't see any way to have links in your profile. In groups, you can place links and emails in the contact info section. You need to build up a decent number of group members first before the link starts becoming useful.

What am i missing?

luv you are not missing anything, fortunaly I had a few people over at my house last week and we all signed up, but fortunatly for me I have a few thousand people on my list.

Also the persons, no names mentioned are probably what you would call guru's or semi gurus, yes one of them is a big name in internet marketing.....so that did help, what we worked out is to get friends and all link to each other as well....

actually before I post any more i gave a good example on how you will succeed in this game you must network with the big wigs.....or network with marketers better than you and you will not only learn but make more money , when I started to leverage off other big names with big list the money will flow like milk and honey, and it doesnt take much work either.

Sometimes a good network partner or JV is only a phone call away!

Cheers

hope this helps...its all about social networking with others and using them to link back to site like your facebook.

Yeah I've been talking about Facebook marketing on my blog in addition to MySpace and YouTube.

nickjag.com

It does have a lot of benefits, and there's especially a lot you can do with all the new widgets, even though there's so many and they get on your nerves!

MySpace marketing is still the king, but yeah, Facebook marketing will get there too. Only problem is, a lot of it is private and can't be "seo'd" so it's a little different of a playing field with more emphasis on developing brand equity.

Nick, if you don't mind revealing your facebook account, could you post a link to it here or give the name of your account?

It would be very interesting to see how you use it.

Yeah Facebook is a fantastic social networking site and if your participation in it is active and your quite a popular member around then you are bound to benefit a lot from the site.

I've been talking about this for the past few months. Get yourself a FB application made.

Doing that alone sent me 19,000 uniques last month

Luvgadgets, I currently don't have what I would call a personal-business profile made up yet that could show anyone anything useful, but I'm sure I will in time.

When promoting on Facebook I can tell you this: you must be creative! Messaging or commenting on people's walls like in MySpace won't get you half as far and it's much harder, but can return better results if done correctly. It really starts from the ground-up, meaning, you have to kind of design your product in a way where it falls perfectly into the structure of Facebook and its extremely viral ties.

This, of course, only comes from having a great understanding of the network on a whole and how to stretch your products/services a bit so they can be launched easily on Facebook.

I'm planning on launching an inexpensive (5 dollars) ebook on the network and how to master it come Oct/Nov. The reason I'm waiting till then is some extra research I want to do to really hammer in some cool and new techniques. Also, Facebook is going crazy with all these new developer options and even the new iphone.facebook.com stuff so I'm going to have to wait till things settle down a bit.

oh dont get me started on iphone

I had one for 6 days and it broke...not getting another one..they suck

cool feature on face book but.....and there are lots of things you can do though.

to get things going quicker you should get a group of 5 or 6 of you and all sign up at the same time and network to each others site....that worked for me....just a tip ey.

Facebook have recently launched a digg-type facility. You can now put a little 'add this page to facebook' button on your site (I put one on mine yesterday) which puts a little review on your profile (or you can message it to someone), somewhat like stumbleupon blogs.

Yah that would have been a nice forum...

I own facebookaddiction.com but don't do anything with it.
