I know this is a question that has no real definative answer...but assuming one manufactures widgets and good ones at that. And assuming there is a market for these widgets but so far the manufacturer has just been selling them on ebay and on their website..... If the manufacturer signs up with an affiliate service such as shareasale (obviously I just did and am curious...) In very rough figures how many affiliates would it be reasonable to assume are going to want to join the party if the commission structure is say 18% not only on the first sale but ALL sales thereafter? By the way these are consumable widgets and the manufacturer gets a lot of repeat business. The average sale is probably $15-$20.

I guess I am just fishing for some kind of answer from other widget makers who have gone down this road. I am led to believe that most of these sites have hundreds, if not thousands of affiliates. I have no idea how many may sign up. Or how often they may produce a sale....or perhaps some produce several sales a day. Any great success stories? Did you get 5 widget orders a day? Or 50? ....

Hello again!

I am beginning to think this forum is mostly for people who have the affiliate marketing links ON their sites...but not so much for people who are actually selling product and trying to GET affiliate marketers to link TO their site for sales. Any thoughts? And if correct does anyone recommend a site for us widget sellers?

Its hard to say the possible widget sales based on your info. Every widget would prove to have a different sales potential based on their category, the traffic driven, the sales marketing approach, etc.

I sell widgets. I sell approximately 250 per month. That won't tell you much because you don't know what kind of widgets, the condition of the sell and the amount of traffic my sites generate.
