Hi evryone! I'm new here and new to the whole online business thing and have recently decided to try an affiliate thing called YourAffiliateSite. Basically I bought a site with my own domain name mark-online-shop.com and basically it comes pre-setup with 3 money making products which I can change and edit the reviews or put any clickbank products on it. I am desperate to get my foot into making some money online but due to some recent things popping up I'm on a tight budget. Luckily I stumbled across this forum :yes: I'm asking if any of you people could help me out with some instructions and maybe even take a look at the site and give me some recommendations of what products to put on there would be great! Also how to best get traffic to the site and I'm also thinking to run a PPC ad but am a bit unsure what to say in the ad as I've tried PPC a few times before with some other stuff and have not had much luck with it either. Anyway, I hope to get some help plz I'm desperate!

1. create blogs and write about your websites.
2. join related forums and be active
3. exchange links with higher ranked sites.
4. write comments on similar blogs
5. submit your websites to search engines and directory
6. use social bookmarking, such as : digg, blogcatalog.com, mybloglog.com, etc

Hey thanks! I'm currently trying to do some of those things you mentioned. I'm in the process of setting up my blog but don't want to promote it yet until I know and have some good content for it. Not quite sure how the link exchange thing works and I don't know if it would work for me since my site if given through the affiliate program I'm a bit limited with what I can do to it though I'm still experimenting with it. I'd like to put some Adsense on it as well but since I'm not from the US I still need to submit the IRS forms and stuff to get them to rlease any payments so I haven't put any one it yet. I't a bit frustarting everytime I get all excited and hit another wall or hold up of some sort! About the social bookmarking I came accross the term before and search to find that there are services that claim to submit to many sites or whatever but obviously at a price, do you think these services are legit and worth it or should I be searching for sites to submit to manually?

my advice is try them all as long as they are free and analyze them which ones are working.

PPC can be a bit tricky.. My experiance is the best traffic is searchengine traffic ( natural traffic)
Youd be surprised how easy it is to get ranked well in the big searchengines!
My advise to you: build lots of links to your site Write articles, Post on forums, buy blogposts, write press releases, Directory submissions, submit your RSS feeds etc..

Lilmac, I don't know how good those pre made money making websites can work... I think you should try apply some changes and make it a little different.

On the other hand, PPC is a dangerous game where you can lose a lot of money if you don't know how to play it.

Before spending money in traffic try the free methods first because you have to know if your site converts.

Test your ads and with free advertising methods.Test about three to five at same time.See what kind of results you can expect.Or paid someone to help you if you don't want to waste time.

All of these are excellent methods here are a few others .

Free classified ad sites
Join social networking sites such as Myspace or Bebo
Buy adspace on high traffic sites

1. Create a blog and update regularly with good content
2. Use Social Bookmarking and make it easy for people to bookmark you
3. Use PPC with caution - Only use Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Facebook PPC
4. Offer something as 'linkbait'. This can be a free report or a tool on your site

Method 1
A very powerful method is writing "reviews" of your products on websites that offer free pages/subdomains/blogs.

Go to each one of these websites and create your own one-page blog/website
blogmania.co.za
weebly.com
squidoo.com
blogspot.com

Make it look nice through the various templates offered by each one and then write a nice review about your product linking back to your website. Try to make each blog/page unique and honest looking instead of spammy. This will add some back-links to your website as well as drive traffic through search engines since Google loves these kind of websites are

Method 2
Another method is social media. Many people suggest it but I have a couple of tricks for you:
Sign up at piqq.us and stumbleudon.com
At piqq, you'll digg and stumble other people's articles and you'll get points which you can exchange for diggs/stumbles of your own website.
At stumbleudon you will simply get 5 free stumbles every day (actually it's an automated stumble exchange system) which you can use to stumble your own sites e.g. the blogs/pages you create.

I usually rarely join forum & discussing on products. but this time, i came across this thread and seem like would like to drop some little comment regarding "instant-booster".

Instant booster, its a tool to create lots of incoming link to your website. Search engine like google, yahoo, msn, etc. they rate website by their incoming link. thus assign 'important' of page to that site.

But, for this to works. your website 'keyword' must match the topic of the website that linking in. this meaning both site's pages hav related topic/keyword. thus, the pagerank will be shared, and your site will gain momentum for this.

Its all about links.

Once the link is all setup, your site PR will rising. and get into search engine top page. thus, bringing in lots of Quality traffic.

** one thing at least, make sure your website have sufficient keyword. Blog is a good site to optimise this "instant booster"

Keep trying, SEO is a hard job. it makes easy with all these tools available.
