Hi,

maybe this is a dumb question, but I don't know the answer...
So, if I join a few banner exchage programs and I get the codes which I am suppose to put on my website, but I put them on a separate page (and I put a lot banner exchanges codes on it), and I display that page in a few auto surf program (so the banners actually are not on my website), will I get the credits?

Please help......even if this is obvious for everyone...

Thanks a lot,
Sandra

It would depend on each exchange, read the TOS of each one and if in doubt then e-mail them.

Alot of exchange's will eventually figure out you are doing this, and ban your site from participating in the exchange. Again, check with each exchange's TOS to see what you are allowed to do.

would you want someone doing this to your banners? I hope they do.

Or how about arificial traffic? almost as bad, but...

OUCH - not good.. Many sites that use the banner exchanges are going by the tos. The worst thing is for a person to put a banner in a autosurf site. Unviewed traffic is the worst traffic.. I hope one day that autosurf gets banned from the net all together to better advertising canpaignes. Its really hard to find a good company to advertise with because of these darn autosurf sites.. I would hate to be paying x amount for per say 50,000 banner impressions and get a click through of only 1 or 2 then come to find out because they were in a autosurf rotator site grr.
