Hi!

Is traffic from expired domains any good?

Especially if you have used royaltytraffic.com I'd like to know!

I bought some bulk traffic once (despite the warnings, just as an experiment) and it was next to useless, no visitors going beyond the first page and none returning. I don't think that was from expired domains though (or it didn't say, or I don't remember...).

Any opinions welcome :-)

If you run a MFA splog, maybe you would get some ad clickthroughs, but if it would even offset the cost of buying the traffic would be doubtful.

Ok. The site in question is a media hosting sort of thing (but somewhat more unique). I'm really just trying to raise awareness of its existence rather than make money at this time.

Having a signature here and making useful posts would probably be of more use in that case.

No they don't.

It can be done should the need arise, but it is not done as a matter of course.

there's a website out there that sells traffic based solely on expired domains, so I would have to say this is a legit thing...

Try to find a good expired domain is like finding a needle in a hay stack.. If it's worth anything, it's probably already taken prior to expiration

if you know someone that is getting rid of their website, that would be the best situation IMO
