I started a new website a couple of months ago,and I've been placing ads on google. But the problem is that even if the keyword that I'm using the bid is low at the end of the day I'm spending about $10 dollars and getting around 300 to 400 click per day.

I know that $10 dollars per day it's not much but I would like to know if there is a better place to advertise or if it's worth do keep $5 dollars on google and start doing $5 dollars on yahoo or any other places.

The website is FREE so I'm getting money out of google too, but it's not enough to pay for the advertisiment.

If you guys know any other places to post advertisement that is worth and not too expensive I would appriciate.

if you spend $10 a day and get around 300 to 400 clicks per day, that means that you average Cost per Click is $0.033 to $0.025.

What kind of keywords do you use??

I'm using the following keywords.

Garage Sale
Yard Sale
tag sale

The cpc is around $0.10 to $0.20

It's not bad, but I was looking to see if there is another place that would get more click than google.

you should expand your marketing efforts to cover more ground. Not everyone uses google (ok most do but still my point remains)

If you must spend money on advertising, try getting your link placed on other relevant sites with better statistical info (traffic, reach, popularity, etc)

i think spending money to get clicks can hurt you in the long run. Google has very safisticated technology to track these things.

Now a days many people know that by clicking on a ad u will get some bucks so every one {Not all} Will click on ads either by asking others ...
Soo u wont reach the people....So think once ...

The best way to advertise your site is "word of mouth". You could also pay for clicks / advertising. But, not everyone has the money to do that. You could also affiliate with websites. They don't have to be related to what your website is. In fact if there not related it might be better that way. Your then able to attract different people you wouldn't have had before. Good luck.

I stoped google ads for now, was getting to expensive. I'm trying some FREE ads now, and to see how the website goes.

That is not right. PPC has no influence whatsoever on your organic rankings .

why don't you just focus on organic results? They are more relevant and will drive way more traffic than PPC. In the long term, it's a nobrainer deciding which is better.

Wow, I think that's a really good cpc.

You may want to try postings on Craigs List or even Kijiji with a link to your site. Tons of people search there for garage sales.

Yes think to yourself, If i was looking for garage sale information... where would I go?

That place is where you want your ads...

I would even go as far as posting signs in your local town and abroad, post them like a garage sale sign but with a web address...

Get some stickers made up and start slapping them on street signs, posts, neighbors car (jk), etc.

Get out there and push it. Your idea is good and it will work, you just need to put out more effort than the next guy with the same idea.

Isn't that illegal? One I asked in a forum about placing sign on the street and someone told me that it was illegal, and I could get a fine.

About a sticker I do have one in my car. I will try the sign stuff and place in some street post.

That just depends on where you live. Need to check with your local laws on what is or is not allowed.
