It's a good start. Follow the advice of juliensimon. Keep writing. Try to do at least a post per day.
For a developer blog, I would bother with adsense until you are getting at least 2K unique visitors per day. Most developers don't click on ads and you'll be wasting time watching the pennies count.
You can use the google webmaster tools ( https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools) to try to get an idea of the number of RSS subscribers (google reader and feedburner). It's only a small percentage but, when that number gets bigger, you'll know you have a real following.
When you have a lot of people following your blog, you will discover that your audience will promote your site for you.
