i am trying to get my site in my local newspaper and they charge 100$ a month.. so i have been calling stores and stuff trying to get there ads and links on my site for 25$/month..

is that a fair price? its less than 1$ a day..

they get a link on my main blog page and a full banner/logo on the forum..

my blogs a few months old, pr2.. over 4,000 page views.. and over 1,700 visitors..

just need a little help to gain some money from advertising.

try using this website http://www.mediabids.com they sell newspaper ads, and they have great prices. Also you can try google.com too, they sell newspaper ads too.

im talking about "my" local newspaper.. its a pretty big company in the state of florida..

i cant come up with 100$/month.. cause i cant find advertisers.

have you try social media or social bookmarking strategy as your promotional tool? this technique is so effective in getting a lot of traffic.
