As a newbie to this game im in a need of some help,

I used to have this keyword tool with which you could put in a huge listof keywords and it would then go to google and pull the number of results for "keyword", but sadly it is now broken. I am obviously beside myself with grief as it now means I would have to go through 1000s of results and manually put them in.

Does anyone know of another tool that can do this for me?

You may be talking about Google's Adwords Keyword Tool - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

If you mean a tool that checked your website ranking for keywords, then you might try Aaron Wall's Rank Checker.

if you want result of ranking, traffic, etc..you can install the add ons Firefox provide. I don't remember the name but if you make a search on maxilla Firefox, you will surely see it. It's very useful. This will install alexa.

I agree. Wordtracker is probably the best keyword tool around.

If you want to watch a video of it in action, just follow my link below.

I currently use keyword analyzer 7. You have to pay for it, but once you do it gives you a huge list of derivative keywords related to your main search term, and it tells you how many google adwords campaigns are running for each keyword. It does this for yahoo, msn, miva, and others all at the same time. As you can see it's a useful too and worth the money.
