How can I improve the rate of how many clicks my banners? Here are some statistics that shows why I'm a little confused:

Well people mostly ignore banner ads. Also a banner placed on the bottom of your site gets count a view when someone only looks at the top part of the page.

Banner ads are mostly ignored, try to put the most valuable one in the top left corner thats where people start looking when entering your site. Also try to switch to text ads and place then in the middle of your article or content, these will do much better

Most obviously, make the banner stand out more and have an attractive message.

Make a banner that contain interesting text. eg. free

you have to clearly spell out the "call to action" usually something like "click here" or perhaps something smarter like "buy now". It really depends on what you are doing. If you are trying a CPM strategy, you better have a hot chick in the ad...lol If you are paying for clicks you'll want to know that the people that click are people who will buy, or what every end result you wanted.

My banner ads are provided by google adsense i cant modify them, so there is not matter of interesting text in it.

I think your site visitors most are webmaster so they know that your banner is google adsense.

You can exclude some advertisers if you think that their banner ads are not "right" for your audience or if you think they are just not working.

Get more views. Create banners that are relevant to what your users are looking for.

the best place to place banners are at the top of the page, and 2nd best is the left of the page next to the text, these areas get the most clicks

I could use this too - I get zero clicks on my banners. I think probably putting them into the content is a good strategy.

Have you tried different blending with content strategies? And have ads being very spot-on with content?

Depending on your target audience, you can expect most of your visitors to have the banner blindness, They will ignore anything that looks like a banner or that is positioned on the top or in the sides where the traditional banners placements are.

To optimize and improve your click rate just a bit I would suggest only using text ads and incorporating them as much as possible so they blend into your content.
