What are some ways to promote a new music forum? I've started one and am now planning on promoting it. Link can be found in my sig if you'd like to take further look at it.

So, how can I go about promoting it. I've got some ideas already, but it wouldn't hurt to ask you guys.

1, Submit to Google
2. Submit your site with other sites that are similar in CONTENT to your site. Enough of these submissions will yield better promotion.

lately, when I see new forums, I would always almost see that they would promote it with a contest. this is their way to get more members, you can do this but you would have to be careful in choosing what kind of contest you would give out, there are forums that made contests but only got members that posts for the sake of the contest, they just give quantity not quality posts.

Promote it in different social media sites like YouTube.
