After long time giving on SEO and sem still i have some problem on SEM factor. Recently one of my client asked what is yahoo group marketing.

I am asking to all professional seo person and online marketing specialist about yahoo group marketig, i mean what is yahoo group marketing, how it is work,

how can i start yahoo group marketing and how can i track visitor through yahoo group marketing.

It is basically just spamming groups on Yahoo with links to a site, not much of an art to it, just bulk.

^^yeah... I remember having to delete one of my yahoomail account because of receiving too much junk spam mails. once you have joined a group, a series of repeatedly messages will be sent to you.

I just hate spamming groups.. But unfortunately, if done well, it works. Think e.g. of a weight loss group or a wedding group.. Have a "talk" there with 2 nicks and direct people to your site offering related CPA offer (teeth whitening for brides, weight loss pills, etc...)

^^do you convert a lot from Yahoo Groups? how much traffic do you get in ratio of the messages you send?

I tryed it to post on a few yahoo forums before, it wasnt easy though, ended up with an inbox of yahoo group newletters lol

It works pretty well for me. However, I target only groups that are concerned with the female fighting, female wrestling, and catfighting niche for the "most" part.

The exception is when I do a celebrity poll or something like that. For example, I will add all the large groups that someone like Alyssa Milano may be in for 1 example only.

I will then post backlinks in the links section and post an announcement about my Catfight Report poll or interview on that particular girl in the messages section.

I don't know what is considered "good" in terms of hits but I am pretty happy with it so far. Some of the groups are so overrun by spam, however, and sometimes I wonder if I am spinning my wheels on those particular groups.

Because of the fact that the links actually come from people's email inboxes, it's hard to directly know what groups are sending the hits and which are not.
