how does email branding work? im not talking about normal outlook stationary but rather the one that goes through a central server, applies the template and then sends it to the client? If i would want to setup one of these for my clients how would i go about doing it? are there any commercial scripts maybe?

you can use some web based companies that facilitate that for you. They provide templates, reports on email, allow you to upload your own code if you want to.
I work with Constant Contact but I'm sure there are plenty of other ones out there.

They have a program called Constant Contact Business Program where you can manage your client's account and give them either full access or limited access or no access.

That's what I use for my clients. It has been working fine and they provide good assistance in case of problems.
Again, I'm not "promoting" constant contact. I'm sure there are a lot of others web based companies that are probably as good.
