I keep on going back and forth on how I should divide our budget. I was wondering for the small businesses out there, how much do you set a side for monthly SEO budget? Do you divide that budget between SEO and PPC?

Depends really, are u any good at ppc marketing ? if you are very good at ppc marketing you might put more money into that, depends on your skills, are u taking a wage from your buisness ? as some people put any money they make straight back into promoting the site, some dont and take a wage.

Just depends on ur circumstances how much money you can afford to use a month to promote ur site and your skills set, you will probably never have enough money to promote your site as much as you would like.

how much revenue how many visitors revenue is a pretty open ended goal. I could spend no money and make some revenue

this is not a matter of a specific figure - $100 or a $2000. it's more about how you estimate the return of the money that you invest. just spend as much as necessary for the income you plan.
besides, it depends upon the direction that you stick to. SEO, creativity and link baiting or PPC, all of these ways mean different budgets.
in other words - it is totally up to you. i'm sure that your own analysis would be way better than any suggestion you may get.
