Hi,

To boost my PR and also my position in search engine I'm thinking about buying text-links. Is it worth it ? Can anyone tell me what should I care about when buying texk-links ?

I recommend that you first try to see how far u can get with free links. Try writing articles and passing them around, get listed on directories that won't list your site with a ? in the url. Try toget people alking about you, give them a reason to.

As for text links, it easy to get screwed and hard to be sure.

Depends on your marketing budgets. I do see some of the large hosting companies doing this.

Yes try for exchanges first - email some webmasters who have sites with similar content and see how you go.

IMHO,it depends.
Buying text link from a site with only high PR but low traffic is not worth it.
However,if the site you buy link from has both high PR and high traffic,it would turn out to be perfect!

Great advise

By writing articles and getting them published you are creating one way links which hold much more value than reciprocal links. There are many websites that will publish your articles, just remember to add your bio box with a link targeting your keywords.

There are many link services out there offering a wide range of services but none really offer anything that could not be done by yourself.

Straight forward purchasing of links can be very effective in passing PR and influencing results. If you go down this road try contacting the websites personally and cut out any middle man.

More importantly do your research; links can get you into trouble (linking to bad neighbourhoods) find relevant websites with complimentary content, contact them and see what can be done. Sending out numerous emails requesting link exchanges can yield results but many webmasters receive these types of email daily and will simply regard it as spam. Don’t be scared to pick up the phone and speak in person to add that personal touch, you would be amazed at how much of a better response this can have.

If your interested in boosting your PR then buying text links will do it ...However, most text links won't bring much targeted traffic to your site unless your on a very popular website cateering to a similar market. Knowing this, you need to decide how much raising your PR is really worth? There is a general consensus going around that says PR is not worth much. Trading links is free. Submitting your site to most directories is free. Writing articles is free. Adding your link to your signature is priceless...and free!
