This past few weeks our team only gets few traffic for our site. Is there someone here can help me to know how to get high traffic for our site for only a week?

Why the rush? What you're asking is similar to "I want to make thousands of $ in one week". Some things just can't be done, and for you this is probably one of them.

Here are a couple of options for you:

submit an "article" to Digg, but you'd better make sure it's **** good, otherwise word of mouth won't work
buy a link from a very high traffic site

Building traffic take time, work and consistency to make it happen. Below of some of the ways that I am currently building traffic and some that I am going to test in the near future.

I schedule all my traffic generating activities on my calendar so that when it times I stop and do what needs to be done. You can use a free organizer are a full fledge [COLOR=blue! important][COLOR=blue! important]contact [COLOR=blue! important]management [/COLOR][COLOR=blue! important]system[/COLOR][/COLOR][/COLOR] to do this. Create a plan an then implement it.

-craigslist
-yahoo answers
-backpage
-social bookmarking
-social sites like facebook,twitter, myspace, etc
-ppc
-your own blog
-commenting on blogs in your niche
-traffic exchanges
-list builders
-squidoo and hub pages
-purchase leads for business opportunity
-etc

Pick a few and learn how to maximize your results and keep adding more to the mix until all your time slots are filled. Remember to schedule time for lunch, breaks, and other activities that you need to accomplish on a daily basis.

Create a youtube account and upload a few of your own creative videos. And by a few, I mean 6 - 12.

Buy some advertising on youtube so your video appears on the home page - these are called "Promoted Vidoes".

If the video is of good quality, you added a watermark with your site address to the video, and put a link to your site in the video description, you should start getting traffic within seconds.

Buying advertising on youtube is not cheap, but its a good way to get your site some traffic.

Of course that implies the OP would be willing to put in the work to actually create a video someone would want to watch, which based on the original question and the links in the sig I tend to doubt.

Somehow I doubt spending money will be part of the equation either.

Our client only want free advertising so we can't pay either buy links or do the ppc campaign. I know it took time for our team to get traffic for the site . But i am thinking if that is possible, what are those ways/technique to get traffic for one week . Anf if there is that would be a good news for us.

Your not going to be able to do it in one week. Just have patience and it will come if you get inbound links for SEO traffic and promote on social networks. If your site has something useful, then social networks will be more helpful as word of mouth will kickin.

If your site is a made for adsense or made to sell something, then you probably will not get much love in social networking and will have to wait for organic search traffic.

Why do you need high traffic in a week? You don't need to rush. You'll increase traffic once you improve your rankings on search engine.

true true if its good and has something that people will definitely come back for or even bookmark!

in all my promoting i used to do about a year ago when i was into gpt ptc sites i made my own site and blog and learned how to promote that site and blog which of course promoted the gpt sites i wanted refs for.

in an attempt to not only teach myself and others but also to lay it all out in front of me i wrote up a guide on how to generate traffic to your site.
it will take some work but its all completley free to do and you will start noticing hits almost immediately.

also its a good idea to put some tracking code or webstats code on your site so you can see exactly where most of your traffic is coming from.
that way you can focus on where the majority comes from.

yes, those are some good advices about how can you promote your website, how to get traffic and backlinks, but keep in mind that traffic will not come overnight.

You want overnight traffic ? Go buy 10.000 visitors for 10 dollars like some people sell. But that is non-targetted traffic, you'll get no sales from that.

avor - You can probably convince the client that it's not worthwhile only doing free and that it's worth paying to send visitors over. Or at the very least, that it's cheaper than paying you guys for all the extra work free ones will take

Have Dynamic content on your site - Message Board, Links Directory, Guest Book, Online Search, Picture Gallery, Quote of the day, News items, Site Search, Links Engine ... It all makes for a more enjoyable experience for your visitors ... and happy visitors come back.
Make sure you don't have broken link on your site! There is nothing more annoying when one clicks a link and it does not work. There are hundreds of places you can go on the internet that will check your link validity. Use them.
Make sure your META TAGS are done right
Submit your site to as many privately run Link Directories/Search Engines as you can find. These will not generally boost your traffic in any major way but will help to maintain steady stream of qualified visitors.
Use Banners with care.
Subscribe to the Usenet groups and advertise there. A good place to start is
- Be sure to submit your site in appropriate groups!
- Be sure to signup with a backup email or you will get onto every spammers database!
- Be sure you don't SPAM -- only submit a write up of your site once to any given group.

If you're going to do all of these things, you're best served hiring somebody to do it for you.

I used to be very hands-on with my projects to the point where I'd do a lot of natural SEO and marketing work myself. It dawned on me pretty quickly that the cost of the so-called "free methods" wasn't really free at all. Not when you take in to consideration your hourly rate.

It might sound like free promotion, but it's not. My advice would be to ply money in to PPC - unquestionably the fastest way to get traffic - and spend your actual working hours on the stuff that ain't donkey work.

getting traffic means you have to have a lot of patients coz it really takes time depending on the level of traffic you want.
