Hi,

If I get my items listed on Google base I think I could easily double my traffic and potentially double my sales?

Does anyone know how this works?

Why would you think that? Do YOU use Google base when you are Internet shopping?

No? Do you know anybody that does?

Certainly you may potentially see an increase in sales but unless you are currently at very very low volume, doubling is an unrealistic idea.

I agree with chris. Not very many people use Google Base. The ones who do use it are usually doing price comparisons. So they would only buy from you if you are cheaper or somehow better than the other websites on Google Base.

To get any kind of decent traffic from Google Base you need hundreds or thousands of products. Those all need to be optimized for good keywords. Even then you wouldn't get very much traffic from there. Our most popular Google Base product hasn't even got us 50 clicks in the last 6 months.

I have the same question about Google Blogsearch actually.
Do many people actually choose to search only blogs?
