OK, so we all know creating a forum at first is difficult. People come to forum looking for traffic, responses, etc. But the first time we create a forum, we don't have traffic, then how to make a forum looks full? We all know we need it (when we make a forum/social site) because otherwise people won't be interested to join. Like for example, why should you have a myspace/facebook account if you are the only person beside the admins in that site? You know what I mean? However, I don't want to waste 8-10 hours every day creating fake account and fake conversation by myself. I want someone else to do it for me, but how?

I have been looking everywhere, probably the most effective ways are:
1. find people on get paid to forums and tell them to join our forum and become our paid poster.

2. Find paid forum post service companies and let them make the fake conv. for you.

However, there are big disadvantages about these two services. About people in GPT forums, they are extremely cheap, but they are so stupid. I mean, i used their services before and they keep posting about my paid posting campaign in my own forum. What I want is to make the forum looks full (and at the same time legit), but they screw it because they said something about my paid posting campaign in my own forum.

And as for the 2nd point, there's almost no active site offering this service. I have only found one service which can offer fake conversation and posts for us, they are professional but they are expensive and they refuse to make more than numerous accounts which looks useless to me.

So how to do it?

Have you thought about offering the target audience an incentive to join? Skilled responders? Awards? Advertising Share?

Have you tried going to similar sites and targeting posts for people who need something specific to your niche within that similar site?

Pulling on mods who can begin spreading info about your forum by word of mouth?

Why fake it? A forum will only work if you have something to keep people there. Fake posts will only get you so far, while true incentives will keep them coming.

The mistake many forum owners/operators make when starting out, is being too broad in their scope and having a forum/category for everything they think is related.
A forest consisting of five trees in ten acres of space doesn't attract much in the way of wildlife, but the same five trees in a thousand square feet is more promising.

Well do an interesting topic that would really help to load full your forms. You know you could always give out like question but make sure that it's really interesting to be answered. Like this "How to trouble shoot a computer?" "What is are the good tips on attracting a Woman?" you know something like that. Try to pull peoples interest.

@jeremymiller: yeah, incentives, i know. But i mean, when you start a forum, there'll be no content at all, right? Then how to create the content? I would rather spend my time working on features, offering incentives like what you say, but the threads will be totally empty.

@woolgang: yeah but then if i start those questions by myself, always like that, it'll be very time consuming.

The number one problem is caused from working backwards.

Creating a forum and looking for an audience is the hard way.

First seek a group that needs a method of group communication, then provide a forum. Your forum will launch with an audience this way.

Create some noise. I think at first, many forum owners hire Paid Posters to post. Not one, but multiple posters would be good idea. There are experienced forum posters out there, they are not all stupid

I have seen some forum owners started a contest that lured many visitors. They all posted at first, and when the contest was over, they were vanished. Start promoting in forums, blogs, videos, Social Networking sites but avoid spamming there.

Good luck mate! and all the best
