I'm wondering if contextual links from kontera, triggit or infolinks is a good idea to have on a site.

My site is still being built and will be a programming tutorial site/blog. Basically I'm worried that if I use one of these I'm going to piss off the visitors, especially since it's tech savvy users who are kinda picky about what's on a site.

So let's have kind of a poll, do you yourself hate seeing these type of links on a site, or are you ok with them, as a visitor?

On a brand new site. As long as it has lots of good unique content Kontera ads or inline ads are not that much of a problem again providing that you are providing content that can not be found else where.

Introducing ads after you have a large database of members or users might surprise people. If you have them from the start though then people just accept them as a part of the website. But again you need to have good content to take peoples mind off that.

Personally. I don't mind them on sites that much as long as it doesn't interupt my browsing of that site or slow the pages down etc.

Good response, thanks. All content will be unique and written by me. Hopefully it will be good/useful content (well written, well... that remains to be seen).

It's actually interesting that you say don't put them in after I have a client base and I see your point (or at least it seems that it could possibly be a bad thing).
