So, I have this website: http://www.edomaindeals.com/ and it is a free listing for users to post their domain names for sale and others can buy them. It's like craigslist.com for domain names. The problem is, I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to advertising and I would really like some help on how to get my site out there. Thanks in advance!

You should be looking to hire a good link builder. You want good search engine rankings which mostly comes down to links. The more expensive seo companies will want to do the entire process for you. Instead you can try to learn some seo yourself. There are many good websites, forums and blogs where you can learn a lot for free. Some good link building strategies that you can do yourself include forum signatures, blog commenting and article distribution.

Facebook, Twitter, ppc like Adwords/YSM/Adcenter, participate in forums/blogs (here you will have the opportunity to place your site's link somehow), look for promotion threads on webmaster forums to find more ideas, tips, etc.

there are loads of methods but free are link exchanges,, traffic exchanges and viral marketing.
