Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take the time to get some other peoples views on a specific topic related to Article Marketing.

Today, I want to talk about Article Marketing, Duplicate Content Penalty, and Blog post.

All the article directories that you submit to say that you must first show ownership of the the article that you are submitting, by having it on your site in some way, and showing ownership before they will post it on their site. So most people will post their article first on their blog, and then post it to directories.

This is how most people do this type of thing, but then there are some people who say that this is considered Duplicate Content by search engines and don't agree in doing it this way.

There was a article several weeks ago on Google Blogs, that said they don't give penalty for this type of behavior and this is not what they consider "Duplicate Content".

Some people say you should post on your blog, and then spin your articles and get lets say "25 Different Variations" of your original article, and post those on 25 different article directories. We would like to take the time to see what others thought about this topic.

As long as the original article was written by you, then i don't see any problem spinning it and submit it to different article directories. What's important is you own the content.

Article submission is a great way of advertising. Using a content spinner is a great way to maximize your efforts and minimize the time spent writing these articles. Content spinners have gotten an undeserved, bad reputation. The problem is not the spinner but the person doing the spinning. Any writer worth his salt can effectively use a content spinner. The simple rule of thumb, I personally use, is don't just use interchangeable words (many/numerous/plentiful) instead try to come up with interchangeable phrases(There are numerous ways to make money online/You can earn cash online in many ways/The ways to make money online are very plentiful) This makes each spin more unique looking.

I personally never submit my own website's content to any article directories. The article directories do not require you to show ownership by having the article on your blog/website first. I have never come across an article directory that had this stipulation. I create separate content for my site and for marketing. Although you may not get penalized for duplicate content, you will have a tough time getting traffic from an article on your site if that same article is republished on many other sites too.

Yeah, I have to agree with michael4168...
It's much better to spin an entire phrase than just a word.
It's more unique looking as what he said.
Articles should be rewritten from the original to make it your own and not just copy and paste phrases from it.

Always spin the article when you can. Submitting duplicate content is not very effective.
