I have seen that many good websites have blog.
I have few questions about it.
Is creating blog for website help to increase traffic?
What will be the better host blog at your own or host on other blog hosting websites like blogger.com?

I am planning to create blog for my website on subdomain. I plan to use wordpress. Is it ok? I want website blog should be listed in blog lists in blogger.
What can I do for it?

Hi Subodh
If you have your own domain then you can also have ads on your blog.
You cannot have ads on free blogs. Own domain also gives full control on your blog.
Blogs for websites help in adding content, more fresh content, better as search engines will keep crawling, more weight, will help in ranking higher on search engines. Content is still king!!
Blog on your website is a good strategy to remain at the top when you are competing for search engine traffic.
wordpress is good.

Creating a blog inside a website is a good idea and it's advisable to create in a folder to pass the link juice of the whole website.

domain.com/blog is a good structure for a blog.

Creating blogs inside the site will be more adviceable, becuase, By adding blog, you will be adding posts regularly there so, always google will see new content there for each visit as well as that will be more helpful and google will give you good PR. On the otherhand, if you can get a blog on blogger.com and get backlinks from there, that too, really great in the words of backlinks. Google really loves backlinks from it's own products(blogger.com)
