Is it harmful to get 55 backlinks from a PR7 site?
I was not knowing that when I put a sig in my profile, all my previous posts would also be containing the sig link. So when I put the signature after my 55th post in a PR7 forum, I was having 55 sig links from that forum and I was just 4 days old on that forum! I just want to ask, whether this is harmful for me? Or what should I do now, to prevent any threat from Google or any danger to my sites?

Your links are not on PR7 pages. Only the home page is PR7.

Well if you ask me, I would think about what kind of content you posted? Is it spammy looking? I would not worry about it too much. If you posted to that same forum 250 times in 4 days I would maybe tone it down a bit.

Homepage have PR=7. Subdomains have PR=3 or less.

That doesn't make sense. PR is determined by the links to a page, regardless of whether the page is on a domain/subdomain. It might even be that a page on a subdomain has more PR than a page on the domain itself.

If it was harmful to get 55 links so quickly (it's not) some forum members with tens of thousands of posts could point their evil sig links to a rival's site to saboutage it.

Although you have 55 backlinks on pr 7 site but it doesn't give you that 55 baclinks credits because it's coming from the same ip. Correct me if im wrong, it's only equivalent to 1 backlink. And i don't see a threat on this one.

It depends upon the quality of forum and your website.

Your links wont be PR7 and it wont make much difference to your rankings. Even if you posted 55 times in 4 days Google will take time to index all those posts.

No hark at all, as to the use - well, I wouldn't expect too much.

Btw, I'm pretty sure none of the pages you have links on are pr7. But then again, who cares?

My signatures are invisible and are hidden behind a signature image. So no question of spammy looking. Besides I just have 4 sig links there. I don't have any intention of spamming. And I am not getting my posts posted over there by any bot or something. I myself post over there. 10-15 on an average a day.

I have seen sites having PR4 or PR6 and just when we started having blogs for them in the form of sub domains for example http://www.*****.com/blog, within a month's time with not much work on the subdomain, its PR rose to one less than the domain. So how is this working? We didn't get any backlinks for the page on this subdomain? Are the backlinks for the main domain affecting this page? But according to you this should not be the case. If PR calculation involves analyzing of backlinks on a particular page.
