Okay, though I have a little background to promote websites but I guess it's not enough. My website TargRo, which is a free classified website still needs exposure in order to get massive traffic that I believe everyone of us wants to achieve in our site.

Anyone here know websites (a specific website for advertising) where i can submit my website? Sort of directory submission is what I meant here.

Tough to promote that type of site when there is already a HUGE free one out there....craigslist.

I guess if you could think of something unique to offer? Send out some press releases and try and get the mainstream media to pick up your news.

Thanks S_A_W for your reply. It's very much appreciated. Yeah, you're right this is going to be a tough work since as you've said there is already Craigslist and I know there's a lot more out there.

Yes, I'm also thinking of press releases before I go full on link building. Am I correct?

There are still other ways like Traffic Exchanges or banner exchanges and you can also sponsor events in your place. Direct marketing in your locale is a good start.
