Actually i am not getting which will be best from adword and yahoo s M to increase the traffic of a site.

Neither will increase "traffic"

A dvertising SHOULD be used to generate or increase sales.

As far as I know Adword has a higher conversion rate than Yahoo SM. But again both of them have advantages and disadvantages depending to your need. I suggest that you make some reading about the two.

In our experience, we get more clicks from Adwords compared to YSM. If you prefer traffic, I suggest do adwords because their content & search network is really big. If you want to have good conversions then do both and test. You can never tell what will work. We are always amazed by that.

I prevent to use google, It's more partner that you can get better than yahoo

Neither will create more traffic organically. Depending on your niche, is where you would choose Google or Yahoo!

Adbirds makes a great point. Personally I get click for less with yahoo, but google usually converts better in the end. Guess you should try them both and find out your bottom line profit.

google adwords provide more CTR or increase ROI and increase sales then yahoo S M program to me. your site may find yahoo SM better
result.try it out and find your suitability.

Both are a waist of money if you ask me....try social bookmarking sites....its free and you may end up in the top 3 for most of the keywords your paying for

In our experience, Google has proved much better results.

Google also has a much more indepth control panel than Yahoo.

Adowrds would be best but if you have a shopping (ecommerce) website then you use yahoo marketing too.

Both are great tools, but recommend the adwords although more expensive, quality is higher.
