The online version of the Philadelphia Inquirer used 2 photos of my work, taken from my website, to illustrate an article. The way the article is written, it looks as though the work was done by someone else, and I don't see a photo credit. Now, the author did contact me before the article was published and asked if he could use a photo. He assured me that I would get credit for the work and that the article was positive in nature.
Here's a link to the article :

Do I have the right to be disappointed in this? Should I just be glad that my work is shown in the article?

Also, is there any way that I can use this article to benefit my site? Since my name is not mentioned... should I link to the article from my website?

If I placed a link to the article on my site would it help me or hurt me?

Yes you need to contact them asap - you've been promised that you'd be credited but they have failed to honour that promise. A link back to your site is ideal.

It seems like they already credited you... but if I were you, I'd ask them to credit you in the form of a link.

Just an opinion.

When ever you give permission to use any of your work you should have got the written statement. If you had it you can sue them for millions of dollars.
