I have a Twitter site... no idea what to put there. I have some random blurbs about coupon codes and the company description, etc. Any other ideas? Secrets to using Twitter for marketing?

I also have a Digg submission, as well as Stumbleupon. Digg has gotten a few hits, Stumbleupon a bit more. Are there secrets to using these?

If you have twitter account you can tweet the headline of your story then put the url of of your site.

Is there any major advantage to using Twitter? As far as marketing and advertising is concerned? I noticed a few followers, that's about it...

How aboug Digg?

Digg is mostly good for getting pages indexed fast. Unless you have a lot of fans on there it's not so good for getting targeted traffic.

Twitter is more for building up your reputation. Interact with people on it (without spamming) and it can be very effective. I've also made lots of wonderful contacts on there.

Twitter... Like I said I have the coupon code posted, and the company description. Should I just ask for input from followers or something? Or what?

For Digg, that's what I usually do. Of course you could also get more interactive if you want traffic directly from there. I don't really have much advice on that though.

And for Twitter, you can ask questions, Retweet other people's posts, and reply to their posts. And from time to time, you can post something about your company, especially if you have an update about it. Just make sure to make it seem genuine and don't do it too often. Over time, you'll definitely get the feel for it.

So just follow others and reply to their posts, get my name out there amongst the Twitter community? Obviously replying to targeted traffic I assume?

Basically, yes. Also, this will get you more followers because they will generally return the favor, hence promoting you.

It takes time, but it definitely pays off in my experience.

Is digg still good for indexing after they are using javascript and nofollow links? I don't think so

I'm new to twitter and I researched that you just have to put interesting words (humor words works best) there that catches attention to your followers.

Yes, it's one of the fastest ways to get indexed. Those aspects don't affect it's indexing rate at all.

The best way to use twitter is to utilize Twitter Search... http://search.twitter.com/. Look for people that need what you have to offer. It's worked for me the past 3 months.
