I am looking to increase targeted traffic for my electronics auction site.
I heard that press realeses and article submission is good for traffic.

Does it bring a lot of traffic? what kind of articles I should write for shopping,auctions websites? What is your experiences?

So if you have no idea how to even start promoting a "shopping,autions" website.

Why did you start one??

AND why are you not simply reading your "SEO Secrets" ebook???

Or using the "traffic system" that apparently is so good????

well i promoto trough kijiji and craigslist. also google adwords and yahoo marketing and some blogs. i wrote some press releases but it was just some info about the site with a link to it. the ebook is about seo not press releases and articles. so it is not the same thing.

I wanna know what to put in the article to have a good quality attractive article that people would be interested in.

well i have a penny auction that starts products from $1. mostly electronics and pda smartphones, game concoles.

I think, in general, what you need is to have fresh content on your site as well as strong keywords. You have to combine this method with link exchange and directory submission as well.

Yes it can give traffic. You can update your customers by posting a press release of your new product or services. Through this customers tends to go to your site and see it for themselves.

Press release can be useful in launching new websites right? But if you have your old website it doesn't work anymore and that's what I read in other forums..

Not at all. Well, if you have some new products/services/events you can still have it press released.

Hi there,

Press Release is definitely a better idea to cater traffic to your website. But the amount of effect it has on your website is very short lived. As the press release refers to something that is newly launched, once your product gets old it wont cater the same traffic on your website.

I would rather suggest you to go for Affiliate Marketing, as it is a continuous process which gives you expected results and only thing you need to do this is a little bit of internet marketing skills.

Yes, Of course Press Releases and Articles does increases your traffic to your website and even web presence too, but apart from these 2 you have social media and social networking sites too which will really boost up your traffic stats.

I don't think that they can bring good traffic, but in general they can contribute to the final result.

i also have a good question on this press release issue. Few days ago i have received 2 different types of email regarding press release submission.

In first email it ask for 100$ for distributing 100k press release.

In 2nd email it ask for 15$ for 50 press release submission.

The price makes me totally confuse. What you guys have to say on this? i think most of here also received same type emails perhaps.

Yes I have also received some mails for the featured listings and distributing it to various other sites. But I prefer to submit it manually and that's why just ignored them.

Sure. It works well to get good traffic to the site. Apart from press release article submission , social networking are used to get traffic.
