I found a company that will do link building for me. 1000 directories submissions and 700 acticle submissions in a two time period. Is this too many submissions in too little time. I don't want to get booted from search engines. I know submissions take time, but this seems like a lot. Any HELP!

Don't trust such companies, they are 99% of the time just scams.

If you want real results, do it yourself.

What's not to trust?? They aren't promising any results, just offering a link building service.. And not everyone has the time or desire to do it themselves..

Dallen, that is not a lot, and people that claim that you can be penalized for getting too many links too fast should be ignored..

This company is basically spamming the net and scamming you. stay away from them and promote your site instead of trying to get it ranked in the SERPs. I'm not saying that getting ranked in the SERPs is bad - but let promotion come first.

dWhite is correct. Do not easily put your trust into a company. Most of them only cares about profit and if I were you, I will put forward more questions to them and search for review before deciding on whether to pay for their service.

Nothing is better than doing it yourself because that way, you know that you've done your best.

The people who expound these theories on getting banned are just talking out of their backsides!

They all think far too SMALL.

Search Engines deal in HUGE numbers. Lets do a bit of elementary maths.

Just for ease of calculation lets say there are 200 indexers and each one can handle a page every second (very, very slowly in computer terms).

So that is 12,000 pages a minute being checked, 720,000 per hour, 17,280,000 every day. And I would suggest that you could easily increase that by a magnitude or 10 for the actual indexing speed.

In that kind of volume a couple of hundred links to any particular page in any one day would be a statistically insignificant number.

AND do NOT forget these are probably the same people who:
Advocate posting articles Digg, Technorati, Delicio.us etc where it is possible to gain hundreds of links in a few minutes.
Suggest you should "ping" the feed aggregators, so your "feed" will be picked up quickly, it may then get published immediately to thousands of syndicated sites.

Once you realise that most of the "advice" is contradictory it becomes very easy to pick out the accurate info.

Now the chances

Before giving money to some company to submit articles to article directories in your behalf I think you would be better off joining one of the article submission services yourself like isnare or content crooner. That way you have your own account and you can make article marketing as your regular marketing strategy. In that way you would be in control yourself. And if you only have one or two articles you want to submit then use Isnare as with them you do not need monthly subscription and you can just pay per article and their article directory list is very extensive, more than 700.

Hi

Well said chris the old 'building too many links too fast' is a complete myth and I would like to see where it says on google thats your not allowed to do this! because it doesnt say anything of the sort anywhere!

If you want someone to build some links for you then thats up to you, but bear in mind they could be good, but they could also be useless thus you wasting your money.

You should go and build links by yourself, of course, if you have the necessary time. It will take longer time but the results will definitely be better.

Most people who offer those types of back link services are just scammers. Now, if a company guaranteed that links would be placed on Google cached pages for at least six months.... on pages with less than 50 links per page... that would something to look at.
