Can you write a article and send it to 100 different sites? If not, do you need to spin that article, so each is different, and then submit it to the 100 sites? I didn't know if this would be considered duplicate content. Any help would be great....

What do you suggest I do then? Are you suggesting I write an article and put it on my website? How does that help me? Sorry for the ignorance, I just don't know where to start...I have a online retail store and I'm trying everything to generate traffic.

You put the article on your site and you promote YOUR SITE not somebody elses!

Thanks for all the help. I guess I just figured I would do both (My Site and Submissions). My wife works on adding product almost daily and I am working on keywords and metas. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to have some submissions out there to draw more traffic.

it depends on article directory moderator. if they accept your article even has been published on other article directories it would be ok, but some times, some article directories only accept your original article and never published on other places. the moderator also always read your articles before approve it.

Some webmasters spin their article before submitting it to article directories, while some just submit it without even spinning. All depends on you (I think so), so just try one then look for the result. Also, try what chris told you. You need to have a better content on your site before distributing content to others.
