Is it a good idea to social bookmark every new page I add to a site and every article I submit or is it classed as spam?

This completely depends on the quality of the content. What is it you are submitting? Is it actually worth reading?

If it's an article written purely for Google, filled with bold keywords, then no, don't bother. Any good moderator would spot it from a mile away and delete it immediately. I can't tell you how many "Make Money From Home" or "SEO" posts I delete each day.

However, if it's a well written and thoughtful article, which actually adds something to the more general discussion on a topic, then submit away.

It's all about contribution: Would your submission contribute to the community? That's the important question.

Upto my knowledge Social bookmarking is absolutely one of the best ways to get a lot of traffic to your site immediately.

Bookmarking the same page on same bookmarking site time and again will be considered as Spamming but if you bookmark your page only once on several bookmarking sites, then this won't be considered as Spamming.

We often see that a lot of great websites are overlooked due to less, effective or zero exposure on the web. If your content is unique and you really want to contribute something new to the community then make the best possible use of Social Bookmarking.

This will definitely help you up.

There is not any problem to submit your new page in social bookmarking sites, it will help you to increase traffic on that page also if you are submitting in do follow bookmarking site, your new page will be crawled and also get benefit of back link and also for page rank.

You won't be banned by search engines, but you *MAY* be treated as a spammer by some people who find tons of links (pointing to the same domain) on multiple social networks

Well I just want to say that the site on which you are working(bookmarking)is quite 'Highly Relevant' for your domain. That is the first and basic requirement,as per my thoughts..

Dear Lahmanwokard,
There is no such Book marking domain in a particular category. You have to choose your category from the list.

Page is spammed when its of no value, or its totally irrelavent so if you wants to add pages or articles they should be of some value

It may be spam because you bookmark same site...they may banned you for doing that.

Yeah, right. I'm sorry to say that your sites will be BANNED too. Why? Because you use same signature links on all posts, so you have multiple posts with same links on this forum. Get ready to be banned!

Yes, you can do social bookmarking for new added pages in your sites, your articles and blogs. It helps to getting more visitors.
