Here's what I would like to do:

I have a small woodworking shop; I make high-end mantle clocks. I would like to be able to pay people X amount of dollars when one of those clocks sell because of their personal referral. Ideally, I'd like to do it thru PayPal, but from my research, it doesn't look like that's possible.

My vision is this: People sign up with me to get my "badge" on their, for instance, Facebook page, or blog. A person clicks on the badge, which ports them over to my site. They make a purchase, and the person that hosted the badge gets $25, for instance.

I don't think affiliate marketing is what I'm looking at...can anyone shed some light on what I'm talking about and how to go about it?

Thanks so much!!

That's pretty much the definition of affiliate marketing.

If you are thinking about a way to earn more credits though you give less time surfing, you must have a certain strategy. Build referrals or downlines, which also means recruit people to join under your name or account.

Almost all traffic exchanges give bonus credits per referral, which ranges from 100 credits to 500 credits, depending on the program. There are traffic exchanges that give a percentage of the amount of credits that your downline earns through surfing other sites within the program. This could be up to 10%, depending on the program. You even get bonus credits when your downlines get their own referrals. Most traffic exchanges allow this up to 4th downline generation. There are also programs that give cash incentives when your downline upgrades his or her account to a paid membership. It may not be a huge amount like $5 at most, but still, it is an earning.
