Hello friends,
After submitting my websites to social bookmarking sites for a few months, I have gained some experiences about popular and not-too-popular social bookmarking sites.
Popular social bookmarking sites are not better than new social bookmarking sites.
Why?
When I submit one link to a popular one like digg.com, my link is nowhere in the next few minutes. The new or not-too-popular social bookmarking sites have my link there for a few hours or few days.
My link is easily indexed if I submit to old social bookmarking sites.
I hope I am not wrong.
Any idea is appreciated.

yes you are right in popular social bookmark site your site not stay more them just a few min at home page.

I think it depends, when I submit to digg or mixx in a couple of minutes is indexed. If I do a search on that particular title, first is shown the link from digg, second from my website.

Yes because there are lots of users on high quality sites and thats y your site go down within few minutes but this is not the case with low popular site....

It was always good to submit your site to old social bookmarking sites rather than the new ones. The primary aim of social bookmarking is to getting indexed by the Search Engine. This is achieved only through Old social bookmarking sites.
Digg, Delicious, Diggo, Folkd Misterwong, Mixx and Stumbleupon are my favorites!!!

Man I cannot believe how of in left field people are about using social sites for promoting content. It does not matter if the site is new or old. What matters is that the site your linking to your content from has an aggregate like of content similar to yours.

It is always good to submit your site to popular bookmarking sites compare the new ones. I am always working on Digg, Mixx, Propeller, Reddit,Delicious these all are very helpful to get traffic for websites....
