Contribute to discussion or comment on posts on other peoples blogs, do follow blogs are good but always have an even mixture of do follow and no follow blog comments so the link building looks more natural.

If you want millions of backlinks I think you should think about a small advertising campaign, maybe a small banner on the bbc and cnn website to start, then slowly build up your campaign from there.
There is know way you can get millions links quickly and free. Google will mark your site.
If you want to have a successful website or blog you need to know right from the beginning that it will take time and you need to use many different tools and techniques to be successful.
If there was a quick and easy way to get tons of links for free quickly and it made your site a hit and generated you lots of income there would be no SEO.
1. Learn about SEO and how to identify and analyze your competition, analyze keywords to target and then do the hard work (unavoidable)
2. Get backlinks to your website from external quality websites
3. Contribute across various resources available on the web such as blogs, forums, directories, social media, etc. and it will come back to benefit you.
first do the on page optimization, choose keywords that searchable and fits best for your website, don't forget the metatags and after that do the off page or link building techniques..
