Only if the user has it set to "show details", it is not the default view.

BTW The client you are SENDING the message with.

I guess you mean "trust" BUT Says who??

email headers are simple enough to fake (spoof), which is exactly what you are trying to do.

Just send your email through your hosting server, that way the headers will be genuine and reverse DNS will resolve.

Hello chrishirst

thanks for the reply, it is exactly what i'm trying to do.

but the problem is:

i add my website mail to my gmail mail , so i can sent some emails from my website email through the gmail interface (Send mail as i mean with mail.mywebsite.com .

in the same time i allow the gmail to download all the emails in my email website automatically to the gmail mail.

now, when i sent any email from my website email by Mozilla Thunderbird to my gmail account, the gmail giving me this message :

This message was likely forged and did not originate from your account. Learn More

so the gmail is not believing as the email was sent from my website email.

what is the solution or the wrong ?

HI, i found the problem in the gmail help

If you've received a reply to a message that wasn't sent from your address, there are two possibilities:
  1. The message was spoofed, forging your address as the sender.
  2. The original sender used your address as a reply-to address so that responses would be sent to you.

thanks

It's because it is being sent from you to you via a third party server it's common with spam messages.

Whitelist your self and the message will probably go away.
