What do the big boys do?

So I am at a point in where I have a handful of clients that need SEO attention from me. I plan on starting the juicing by submitting their sites naturally to bookmarking sites. Here is my question, lets say I have 10 different clients, 10 different niches - do I make separate accounts on each bookmarking site? It seems to me that it would appear less spammy if I had an individual account for individual clients. Rather than one account for everybody. I was thinking of creating an email account for every client I have, and using that email account for bookmarking and networking sites.

If you have to worry about covering up so you don't look spammy, you might need to take a step back and look at what you're actually doing and if it is a legitimate use of whatever social site you might be using. In regards to creating different accounts, in most cases it would be a waste of time if the social bookmarking or networking site also tracks IP addresses.

So one 'super user' social account should work fine while handling multiple clients? I feel that either approach is legit, and is white hat. I am only dropping one link per client, per social site - rinse and repeat to start the juices.

I would suggest becoming a regular user of each social site first and to use it for more than just promoting client links. Be social. Join the community. The advantages of doing so mean that when you do promote client links, they have more social authority because of the social capital you've already invested. You will also have a better idea of which content is suitable for the network and which isn't and you will be able to use different observations you've gathered while using the site to better promote your content. Promotion of relevant content on the appropriate sites in the proper manner isn't spamming, it's smart marketing.

If you create multiple accounts per site from the same ip address you may be banned.

I would suggest doing some article marketing - ezines and a few others allow you to use multiple pennames and sites such as e-articles.info don't ask you to create a user account.

Just curious, how do you handle all your clients? Do you outsource your work or you have employed seoers?

I agree that perhaps you should reexamine your approach. Using the same sites for the same purposes can raise red flags. Especially if you do so regularly and with ore than 5 clients.
If you decide to take this route then you should definitely use proxies and remote address whenver possible.

Your ip is generally dynamically assigned, turn off and reboot router your on a new ip, your mac address is always the same, also your cookies for other user names will be easily picked up, so don't think your being clever by just using multiple account names, there is a lot more to it than logging out of one and into another.

I really don't like the idea of using multiple accounts for social bookmarking sites. In general you will look more spammy if you just post the same clients information rather then a set of varying links.

Also as others suggested I recommend joining these sites and trying to participate in the community. There isn't much point submitting links to sites that don't have people who are interested in the subject matter you are promoting. I find that it only takes a few extra minutes to come across as a genuine user then someone looking for a free advertisement.

Um...how far did you project this? So you're gonna go to a site like say...Digg. And register several different accounts, then submit the several different website pages, to the several separate accounts.Accomplishing what?I'd like to think you have a definite strategy because you have as many as 10 clients...but you are on this forum asking for advise so..hhhmmm.Not to be critical or rude but I just dont see it happening.Diggers usually annoy spammy no name 'mom and pop' sites. Why would they click on yours? why dont you just log in as a respectable bookmarker, who already has a little bit of popularity and people liking their submits (assuming someone as seemingly experienced as yourself might have) and submit. That way the users will check your site out either way..as oppose to just taking up usernames.

Another option is outsourcing a lot of the grunt work like that to other people.
