Hi,
For a web site that promotes a $49 service in the wedding industry, what do you think are the pro's and cons of:
A) A video with a spokesperson which is descriptive and explains what the service is and why people use it (benefits etc). or
B) A video in which the spokesperson gives a personal story about how this service helped her/him.
I personally do not prefer the testimonials type videos. They seem too much like a "as seen on tv" item or sales person, or sales pitch. On the other hand, I know that testimonials sell and I personally often look for testimonials. (usually I look outside from the actual web site for testimonials though.. ) (there is a section for written testimonials on the web site)
Our business is more professional and is trying to be a leader in a niche. So we are not looking to be a fly by type business that has a one page web site with just testimonials and 'guarantees' on the homepage.
is a video testimony too 'unprofessional'? would a descriptive video be better? We are struggling with what is best. Of course we could shoot two videos and then split test, but we thought we'd get some thoughts from someone else first.
thanks for any input.
kindly
Florian
