Hi. I came across a very good advertising method.

Youtube.

Create an account on youtube or even better on tubemogul.com- they will distribute your video to all major video sites.

Make a video about your blog or website. It can be you who are talking and a screen shot of your website.

Or just make video with pictures and a voice.

Offer something extra to the users like a chance to win a prize in a contest. You can also make a good email list. Just set up a "subscribe to my email list" option on your website and explain to users that everybody who subscribed have a chance to win something( make it something good like iphone or ipod.)

Once you made the video do not forget to watermark your video with you url and include one in the description of the video.

Promote your video by making comments and videoresponses on youtube.

Make sure you have great content on your website so people can come back to your site and recommend it to others. Make a tweet me option on your website so users can tweet to all their friends. if they like your site.

After a week it brought me about 100-300 visits per day.

It can be like another way of promotion, but not the main one. Then your video should rather nice and cathing to attract visitors.

for sure it is not the main way of promotion but it helps a lot.

I have had success with youtube promotions in a similar way. It mainly depends on how good the videos are and also the niche that it belongs to.
