Here is a good way to get you some visits. It is simple but you have to follow the forum rules and not spam.

1. Find targeted niche forums that are very active.
2. Create a compelling signature that address a wide range of problems for
this niche.( Include your site or blog)
3. Carefully read the forum rules
4. Make sure ALL of your posts are helpful and informative. No spam!
5. Start at least 1-2 threads daily on a popular topic.
6. Respond to at least 12 posts every day.

Why not just start your own?

you can start your own , but how long will it take you for the forum do be very active? that can take few months or more.

1 or 2 threads daily and 12 quality posts is a good start for any forum.

Forum marketing can work but it is just so time consuming.

If you are on forums looking to share ideas with like minded

people great. But if you are on a low budget and looking to

do forum post to get traffic you can be disappointed bigtime.

Even if there meaningful post....still the amount of traffic

and leads you will get is very low.

People actually use forums for marketing without spamming?

I've been posting on forums for years without the intention of getting backlinks but just for my own entertainment. I love debating and such so posting on forums without being "spammy" comes very natural to me. It also helps that I'm a fast typer and thinker.
