Viral marketing depends on a high pass-along rate from person to person. If a large percentage of recipients forward something to a large number of friends, the overall growth snowballs very quickly. If the pass-along numbers get too low, the overall growth quickly fizzles.

I think that Viral Marketing is a technique aiming at reproducing "word of mouth", usually on the internet or by e-mail, for humorous, political or marketing purposes.

Nice post,Basically The virtual marketing is a very wide concept and technique and it is a method that use and involves the pre-existing social network to produce increases in brand awareness and the campaigns and the virtual marketing has also been used perjoratively to refer to stealth marketing campaigns.
