A few months ago we started building our very first web site, its a kind of unique price comparison site.
Now It really has turned out to be a rather ambitious project as many of our friends liked the concept so much that they wanted invest some money J
With all that money we decided to extra to promote the page. Hopefully this results in high traffic and therefore we are now interested in a good banner system.
The programmers we have hired have recommended Open X . Can some of you experts confirm this as the best choice and if not recommend a better solutions?
Some facts about what we know we need:
Geo targeting, CPM, CPC and CPA and tracking unique visitors but I guess this is standard for all ad programs. Possibility to give banner sold by us high priority over banners from networks
In the start we would try not to use too many banners. Actually we only plan to have a leaderboard on the very top of the page, and if a search is performed another leaderboard on the top of the search result.
For the second leaderboard we would like to match it to the search word people are using searching on our page.
Etc. if a person write Iphone the banner would be an ad for a tele company or if the search word was women shoes the banner would show an ad for a shop selling women clothes or shoes.
According to our programmers this doesn’t exist. Are they really right about that or does it maybe mean its to complicated for them. I looked at ad manager called banmanpro. In their description they say something about call campaigns for keyword, is that maybe what I am looking for or does it cover something else?
We already have our own sales people therefore I hope we can sell most banners to local shops in groups of 1000.
