Instead of just saving your money on a bank, invest it to tripple the value!

$15,000 is big enough, i suggest don't invest all that, since your still starting, expect some failures. so just put a little investment in buying domain and creating websites, then do the SEO since its free. if successful you can invest in PPC.

Would most likely spend a majority of it on PPC if the niche I was in was suitable for such marketing. Otherwise, probably content creation and SEO.

Wow! What a great topic? The SEO work is a real taster. Each of their methods and to suggest tries to get the best performance. But here is the method I always long for something deeper, relevant, cash, within manual and trying to get PR back links with sites'd suggest.

I think that's enough to create some buzz.

If it is appropriate try to create a Forum, and stuff it with lot's of nice contests.

And maybe even make a paid to post project.

I'd budget something like this.

$2000 for creating original content
$3000 for Facebook Advertising
$3000 for Google Adwords Advertising
$2000 for someone to run our social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
$1000 in contests and giveaways
$4000 left to play around with for any creative ideas.

Yes, it depends on what your site needs. First invest in your design if you can hold the attention of those who see it, then invest in advertising Online, Outdoor. The money can be used for sponsorship of conferences and thematic conferences. Therefore, a review the design and advertising.

Personally I'd probably hunt around for sites that have potential but need some work. For instance there are a lot of sites out there that have lots of great content, but no links. Or AdSense sites that have traffic, but terrible ad placement. Buy a couple of sites like that, hire someone who knows what they're doing to build links, traffic will increase, then optimize the monetization strategies. Then you can sell them on at a profit or keep them as part of your portfolio.

Invest a portion in PPC campaigns and affiliate marketing schemes. Side by side, carry on with your SEO activities, i think this gonna' help you!
