Hi i recently purchased autosurf-uk.com and modified it to be a quad autosurf exchange, just wanted to go over what i have done so far and what i would like advise with.
- I browsed the net to look at the follies of other quad auto surf and regular auto surf exchanges.
- I added a news feed to the site so users can see it is constantly being updated
- Patched known security flaws in the auto surf system
- Joined a link exchange network
- Joined some banner exchange networks
- Set up our banners to be fed and monitored by a third party ad organization so users can see that delivered numbers are genuine.
- Worked on meta tags and SEO.
- Submitted to search engines
I have focused on a full level of honesty with my service in the hope it will bring in new members, giving them a face they can trust essentially. I did some research and discovered that the main advantage to the system is that it does increase Alexa ranks.
There is lots of information out there as to what people do wrong with autosurf sites but very little info as to how to do it right!
Advertising wise i am:
- Selling page displays on ebay
- Performing link exchanges
- Advertising on banner networks
- Advertising on other ad sites.
things i can not do:
- Google adwords as they do not allow auto surfs to advertise, its something to do with the fact that it "tricks" the page rank system and Google will not have there system played with. Fair enough i guess.
I was wondering whether any of the webmasters here had an insight as to how i can get more active users on the site. Obviously with a free site like mine a fast take off is what makes or breaks it and i know once i hit 250 unique surfers a day the site will start to promote itself, and i know that webmasters and site owners will use our banner and email systems (providing they are appropriate for that web master) i just really need help getting there. Thanks
Stephen Driver
